ABOUT THE EDUCATORS

Meet Nancy – Educator & Co-Owner of Happy Minds Daycare

With over a decade of experience in early childhood education, Nancy is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for children. Her extensive background includes working as a nanny and in various daycare settings, where she honed her skills in caring for children of all ages. Now, as one of the educators and owners of Happy Minds Daycare, she brings her expertise and passion to provide exceptional care tailored to each child's needs.

Nancy has a special talent for working with infants and toddlers, excelling in essential milestones like potty training and fostering confidence in young learners. Through engaging and interactive play, she introduces children to foundational concepts such as basic math, the alphabet, colors, shapes, animals, and even an exploration of countries—all while ensuring that learning is both fun and educational.

To ensure every child's safety and well-being, Nancy is certified in First Aid and CPR. She has also completed numerous workshops through 4Cs of Alameda (Childcare Access for All), continuously enhancing her knowledge to deliver the highest standard of care.

At Happy Minds Daycare, Nancy's goal is to support each child’s growth, learning, and happiness, making every day a memorable and enriching experience.

About Zara:

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and have always had a deep passion for working with children. Growing up, I learned invaluable skills from my mother, Nancy, who worked in day care and as a nanny for many years. This experience gave me hands-on insights into nurturing and educating young children.

At Happy Minds, I specialize in potty training toddlers and enjoy creating a fun, interactive learning environment for kids. I love to play with children, read to them, and teach them through engaging activities that promote learning and development in a playful way.
